Bone Grafts

Well it is done! It was a long process with tons of stress but I made it through.
Here is the story... I had no adult teeth under 2 of my baby teeth so one dentist decided to remove the baby teeth and leave a hole. Over the span of oh say 10 yrs, the bone in those two spaces vanished. So after I had the whole braces experience I had one hole left. I was told I would need to have an implant. Okay, I thought. I guess I can handle that.  Of course then I was told I needed some bone grafts. GREAT I thought.
Well I procrastinated a lot until I finally just made the appointment thinking I had to get it done or my teeth would not stay in place. Went in found out the whole bone was missing in that area. I had to have 4 cm? of bone put in my mouth? I was freaking out to say the least.
Brian had talked me out of getting put to sleep saying I should save the money and I would be fine with just laughing gas. I knew this was a bad idea but agreed on the whole money side. So in I go. I was calm until I got to the Dr office, then reality hit me like a ton of bricks and that was the end of a calm patient.
I got my numbing shots and started to have a panic attack. I did NOT want to be there!!
About half way through the procedure I have another panic attack! I could not stop shacking and my mind would not shut off. I was getting so mad at the Dr and telling him to stop and that I hated him, and I couldn't do this. They finally started to just talk to me and that made everything so much better. I calmed back down and was able to get through the procedure.
Now after lots of sleeping, pain and swelling I am finally feeling better. I am still sore and swollen but at least I can stay awake and get things done.  Not like I have a choice since Brian had to go back to work today.

Hawaii

Hawaii was SO much fun. I am so happy that the kids were there with us. It made me see things in a dramatically different way.
Here are a few of the things we did.
Of course we Played a lot on the beach. Here we were all out searching for Hermit crabs. Which we found lots of.

Tay and Addi were having so much fun, I think we were out there for a few hours. We found Fish, Crabs, Hermit crabs, Coral and Shells. Here they are trying to catch a fish with the sand castle maker. Great imaginations.

We all loved the beach. We were there a few times a day. The first time the kids went down to the water the laughter and the look on there faces was worth every penny to get them there.  I loved watching them it made me so happy.

As you know, You cant go to the beach without making a sand castle.

We took a boat tour of the Na pali  Coast. We got to see Sea turtles, Fish, Dolphins, and of course the BEAUTIFUL coast line. We were even able to go snorkeling. What an amazing experience.

The water off the boat was so clear. There were spots you could see the bottom at.

This was by far my favorite time in Hawaii. We called it Retreat Beach. Why you ask?
The waves were huge and they came up this steep sand hill and ran up the flat part. We would have to run from the waves or get soaked!! I felt like a little kid again at this beach.
Here is Taylon Running from one of the waves. The  kids thought this was the best.
Here at the Botanical Gardens. We were searching for Great flowers while the Pirates 4 was being made.
This was our favorite dessert... Hula Pie. Macadamia nut ice cream,Hot fudge, Chocolate sauce, Whipped Cream and Chopped Macadamia nuts= YUMMY!!
There are tons more exciting Pictures and stories but Im sure we dont have all day.

Taylon's Birthday

Taylon Had his 6th Birthday this week. We had a great time celebrating with lots of family and friends.
The theme was Mario. ( you would never know he loved video games)
So for the games we played. Pop the Yoshi egg. The kids had so much fun with this game and as the surprise they found coins just like Mario would.
We then did a Bowser Castle pinata . Which was decorated like a Video game. They of course thought that was AWESOME!!

And of course Taylon could not wait to get to the gifts. He was very thankful and happy with all the new toys he got. One thing for sure is we will not be running out of Water balloons any time soon.
Here is the Birthday boy ready to eat his yummy cake. He had been so excited for it all day. He sat on the counter and watched me decorate it all day . He wouldnt even go play with friends. ( not normal)
He got all the Candles!!!! Happy Birthday Mr.T . We are so happy to have you.
I can NOT believe I have a 6yr old.

wheres my eckles?

The other day while having breakfast with Addi she asked me "Where are my eckles?" At first I had no Idea what she was talking about. I asked her " What are eckles?"  '" those on your arm. And Like Taylon" she said (with a look like are you stupid mom?) I started to laugh and said " sorry Addi I don't think you will get freckles. You have daddies skin" " No I dont want daddies skin. I want eckles" She was very disappointed. The funny thing is I have always hated my freckles. So for her to want some made me smile and be grateful for the things I have.
I thought she was so cute. I love the things she comes up with. She is such a sweet and smart little Girl.

For Taylon he is being his self. Great at school, loving to play with friends, full of energy  and always wanting to color or do something crafty. He is always writing little notes to all of us. They really do make your heart melt. Its hard to get mad when he doesnt go to be when he brings you in a note thats says " you are the best mom I love you. He is a great little boy and has been a good example for all of us lately.

OWCH

Taylon and Addison had got into a little fight as they often do and this is the outcome.

Addi got pushed into the metal bed frame. I was down stairs making dinner and heard a lot of yelling but thought they were just playing as usual until I heard the screaming and crying. But still I thought those little stickers why cant they get along so I head toward the stairs and see the blood. of course I yell for Taylon to find out what happened. He tells me the story and helps me call dad who is at work. Then he finds me a bandaid and shoes.
Addi and I head to the insta-care and wait for the out come.

She got 8 stitches and a very swollen nose!
But she was so brave. The Dr's tried to numb the cut but she was still able to feel all of the stitches.
she was so good  to talk to the nurses and be distracted.
On the way home I said " weren't those Dr's nice?"
She said " Not the man he hurt me" so sweet.

Here she is when she woke this morning. still sleepy and not wanting to do much.

While we were at the Dr's Taylon had wrote Addi a letter.
Translation: Addi Im sorry that you are hurt.

And the other said
Addi you are Beautiful. Im sorry I hit you.
I thought it was so sweet that he was sorry and able to write her an apology
He is sorry and feels really bad and I am just grateful that he understands This time
that he needs to be more careful.
